The Simpsons and South Park, as stated, are not childrens programs. They are sophisticated adult comedies in the guise of a cartoon like animation. When was the last time the Simpsons were on before 18:30 - only shows wanting to increase their ratings would employ such a tactic. They show violence and incidents of stupidity which would be dangerous for really young impressionable children to see. These shows also do not come under the category of "Little Gems" of television. Little Gems are childrens programs from a long lost era - shows we will not see again in a hurry which people look back fondly on. I like the Simpsons, not sure about South Park (not really seen it enough times) and Angela Anaconda is downright creepy. I have put up Deputy Dawg, Banana Splits, Arabian Knights, Godzilla, Three Musketeers, Wait 'till your father which are all USish based so your argument against me being biased to British is completely without grounds. Four European "The Mole", The Flashing Blade, The Singing Ringing Tree and The Tinderbox are all present, the latter three which I spent an awful lot of time preparing. So again your argument falls at the first hurdle. Re Blue Peter - maybe if a I get time and John Craven - diffuclt one as I do not really have a lot of information. Meanwhile back at the ranch I have a lot of other material in the pipeline to work on. Iain at Little Gems
