Got the new official dvd release a couple of days ago
( includes all 9 episodes, though unfortunately not the original 'Jackanory Playhouse' pilot episode; which I read on the internet is sadly thought to no longer exist ).


How wonderful to see these again; they are so steeped in atmosphere, rural England ( though not sure where it was filmed ), & of course imagination & thoughtful story-telling.
