I am sooo happy to have found this site, and to have leaned that the Pingwings are real, and did exist.

My main memory of the show is being very upset that one of them was pegged up on the washing line, I thought this was very cruel (I was only liddle).

But for all of my adult life, I have asked my contemporaries if they remembered the PingWings, and have never yet found anyone else who did: I was starting to wonder if I had imagined it, along with Sugarball (*singing* "Sugarball's sweet, and Sugarball's nice, and Sugarball lives in the jungle green: Sugarball lives with his friends in the village, the craziest tribe you've ever seen...") which was, I think, puppets? and would now be considered terribly non-pc.
