Will they pick Bernard Cribbins, for old times sake,or (god forbid!) someone like Ant & Dec? I don't think kids nowadays need encouragement to read, judging by the popularity of children's literature Although I love the Harry Potter books,I don't think that they are nearly as good as the books when I was a child (although you would probably expect me to say that!). J.R.R.Tolkien and Rohald Dahl are perhaps the two greatest children's authors, and, along with Enid Blighton,Helen Cresswell and A.A.Milne,could provide stories just as entrancing as their modern day counterparts It is strange to see however, that whilst all of the afforementioned authors have had many films and tv programmes adapted from their works, there seem to be very few from more recent childrens' writers
I wonder who'll be the first?
I'd also like to see Tom Baker do a story,he's a wonderful actor
