Kit Carson was married three times. His last wife was Maria Josefa Jarmillo of Taos, New Mexico. Does anyone know if she ever visited Fort St. Vrain? She died in Boggsville in the Arkansas Valley (1868). Further, does anyone know if she visited or lived in Fort Garland with Kit? I can find no record of her in Colorado other than her place of death.
