Re: Jessie B. & Simeon Turley
Hi enjoyed reading the info, I met your Grandmother Sofia years ago back in Dec 1976. Her Grandson Paul Anthony Valdez and I were married Dec 18 1976. Grandma Sofia her Daughter Cecilia Grandpa Valdez the entire family hold a very special place in my heart. Kind, loving people they loved me as much as I loved them. I met Cecilia and Alfonso in Germany. Paul was stationed at Boblingen and I was in Stuttgart where my brother and his family were stationed at Robinson Barracks. I was going to school at Stuttgart American High in Ludwigsburg for half a day and the rest of the day I worked at the flower shop in Stuttgart. I was friends with a lady Angelika and Had a friend Gerd. After work on Friday and Saturday we would go bowling at the base bowling alley. Well one night Paul and a man named Claus show up and come down and we meet. Paul dates Angelika a few times and I dated Claus. I shined to Paul and he seemed to shine to me. Found out later they had tossed a coin to see which one was with who. Well one night We were to go out dancing and at the last minute Angelika couldn't go.Well next thing you know Paul and I are dating. His parents came over to see him and they traveled to Egg and Amsterdam. Paul introduces us and I mentioned later they reminded me of my parents they told me I could call them Mom and Dad which I did. Even though Paul and I divorced later they will always be family. We had a son Jason Paul Valdez which my second husband adopted and I changed his name to Jason Edward Bennett which I regret and he wishes he still had the Valdez name. We all even though I haven't seen them in years will always love them and when I was younger did some stupid things that I now regret. I know you are very proud of your family take care Diane Davis Bennett
