Dorothy Newman (nee Brett & nee Borrowscale)
died 16 March 1837 aged 40 years
JOSEPH BORROWSCALE is also buried in this grave but not listed on it. He died in Liverpool 1839
Joseph and Dorothy came from Cockermouth area of Cumberland. They came to Liverpool with their son
Francis Borrowscale - when they must have been a great age in those days to travel so far....
Capt. Julius Brett sailed for the Dublin Steam Packet Co. from Liverpool to Dublin. He also had a public house in Liverpool called The St. George'
on Dale Street.
The above Joseph and Dorothy Borrowscale are my 4 x Grandparents

I know exactly where this headstone is having checked the very large linen sheet which is in Liverpool Library. It is a very large linen sheet listing in the section no. of all the numbered graves. When it was made into a garden the graves were moved exactly to the right hand side of where it was plced originally. I found the number on the sheet and from where it was in the cemetery, I followed it outwards - and there is was that I found it.
I hope this is helpful to others.
