I am researching a William Pike who bought an estate in Achill Island, Co Mayo, Ireland, in 1852-4. A Samuel Holme and Thomas Brassey also bought land adjacent to Pike, which they later sold to Pike. Can you tell me if the Samuel Holme who was Mayor of Liverpool in 1852-3 is same person who bought land in Achill about that time.
William Pike worke and/or lived in Mereyside about 1842.
