So far we have had no debate about her and "her situation" on this board.

So here is a question to ignite the debate: Do you see Mette-Marit ever becoming Queen of Norway?

As a resultat of her dealings with Epstein and as a result of her son going to prison for around 7 years+ (if he is convicted). I find it very difficult to see a situation where Mette-Marit will ever be a "functioning" Queen, meaning living a day to day life in Norway standing besides her husbands side like Queen Sonja does not with King Harald.

I could see a situation where she would become Queen - and she will be married to a King, but does not live an active life as a Queen. She could even possible choose to live abroad "due to her ill health".

What do you all think?

Yesm she is married to the Crown prince, who will become King one day, and she will thus become Queen. The health will limit her public engagements obviously. In a longer perspective I think most people will have forgiven her. Some people will of course never accept her, but most of them didn't before the latest Epstein documents were revealed either. Some people will never be satisfied. Today's TV interview clarifies some things, but don't answer everything some people think they need to get the answer to. Most peope will move on eventually, there are more important matter than showing bad judgment many years back.
