I'm curious, how much does the average citizen pay attention to Royal Warrants? I'm sure any company would be pleased to receive a Royal Warrant, but what impact does it really have on their sales?>>

It probably doesn't have much impact on sales but does add a certain prestige as a firm must apply and be approved. The Court probably decided it is an antiquated custom anc not an effective use of their resources to vet the applications. I've only read that firms are disappointed but not that they are going to suffer a financial loss.

At the beginning of King Frederik's reign it was announced that there would be changes to the Royal Warrant appointments. On November 13th, the Danish Royal Court issued a statement saying that the warrant system will be completely phased out. Those firms who have existing warrants (usually five years) may use them until they expire but will not be renewed.
