The delayed state visit to Sweden of the President of the French Republic has been re-scheduled. Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron will visit Sweden 30-31 January 2024. The visit will start in Stockholm and end in Skåne.
The last French state visits to Sweden were in May 1984 and in April 2000, while King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia have paid two state visits to France, in June 1980 and in December 2014.

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, HE Samia Suluhu Hassan, will pay a state visit to Norway 13-14 February 2024. The previous state visit of a Tanzanian president to Norway was in 1976. There has never been a Norwegian state visit to Tanzania, but Crown Prince Haakon visited the country with the UNDP in 2004.

With presidential elections in Finland and Iceland this year, we will probably see both invited for state visits in the three Nordic monarchies in 2024 and 2025. The new Danish monarchs are also likely to pay state visits to their Scandinavian neighbours, but possibly not until next year.

Other international visits in the near future:
-an official visit of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel to California is scheduled for 19-22 February 2024, they will visit San Francisco;
-Crown Princess Mette-Marit will visit Egypt for the Cairo international book festival 25 January 2024
