Your assumption is perfectly correct, Nellie.
I vividly remember Princess Estelle's baptism, when her grandfather The King bestowed The Order of The Seraphim unto his wee granddaughter it was said, that we wont see the princess wearing this order until her coming of age at 18 .
I think thay your assumption is correct. They are knights of the Order of Seraphim from birth, but they don't wear the insignias until they are 18 years old.
In the photo of Five Heirs below at https://members3.boardhost.com/scandinavia/msg/1697398014.html
Princess Estelle is not wearing her order of the Seraphim which was awarded to her on baptism.
Are the Star and sash miniatures when presented at the baptism?
I have long wondered about when those infants become entitled or are allowed to wear the insignia of the Order publicly.
Do the children first have to become adults?
The Wikipedia list of current knights of the Order of the Seraphim includes the children.
