The other night I watched a biography on the Tsarevich Alexei. It stated that King Christian IX traveled to Russia for the baptism of his great grandson the Tsarevich in 1904. I have since found that to be untrue. However, I'm curious, did King Christian IX ever travel to Russia? I know that King Christian IX and Queen Louise did not travel to Russia for their daughter's wedding. I've just always been under the impression that his children living abroad always returned to Denmark to visit their parents. Additionally, did he ever travel to Greece during his son's reign? Regarding his foreign travel in general, I did see something about King Christian IX being the first monarch to visit Iceland, and I believe he would have traveled to the UK a few times.
