Thanks John and JSR! I will give it a try. When I read the series description, I wondered about the premise. Certainly back when Gustav V was blackmailed for his alleged homosexuality that would have been a major scandal. But would it really be viewed as a problem today? If a current teenage Prince Gustav, for example, were to show up out and about with his tennis player boyfriend, would it be a scandal in socially progressive 21st century Sweden? Or would his coming out more likely be welcomed and even celebrated? (The Prince as Grand Marshal of the Pride Parade, etc.)
I think a gay Crown Prince would be acceptable to most people. If he wanted to marry a man, that might be different. Would his husband become Crown Princess? If the couple decided to adopt a child, the child would not have successional rights.
