Had her boyfriend been a dentist who happened to be black i very much doubt there would have been any issues. Most people in Norway and the princess' immediate family would have been happy about her finding love again.
My first reaction is he's a Charlatan but are his views any more silly than a belief system that says bread and wine turn into flesh and blood or it is holy to have your male baby's foreskin chopped off? A visitor from outer space would think we are all nuts to some degree.
I do worry about mixing a relationship with what is obviously a business that makes money. I do think the Princess is sincere but very naive- How did she think there was no racism in Norway? Racism, in many different forms, exists everywhere. I hope she doesn't think that everyone who questions this relationship does so because her boyfriend is black.
I feel terribly sorry for the Princess' s children - they have seen their parents separate and divorce, their father suffer mental health problems and ultimately take his own life and now see their mother in a controversial relationship . The relationship must cause the children many mixed feelings, no matter who their mother is seeing, especially as they were all together at Christmas as their Dad ended his life, all alone.
I hope everyone involved finds contentment.
It's clear not even the King and Queen are very happy about this relationship.
Am beginning to sympathise with aunt Ragnhild
