A new notice today says the King will remain in hospital until next week. No indication it is very serious, bu he is apparently dizzy.

According to this statement by the Norwegian Royal Court King Harald has been hospitalised since yesterday (January 8) but is expected to return home before the week-end.
In the meantime Crown Prince Haakon will be Regent for the next 2 weeks when the King has to take some rest.
