I really didn't know much about Ari Behn when he married Princess Märtha Louise, other than he had written "Trist som faen" (Sad as hell) and that he marched to the sound of his own drum. Now that he is gone, I've learned from the newspaper accounts of friends and acquaintances that he was, apart from his inner struggles, a unique and charismatic human being--a person one never forgets meeting.
Some of these same friends are dismayed that the international media are making too much of his story about Kevin Stacey. Ari Behn did not consider himself a victim & it wasn't really a big deal to him. It happened at an official function and it surprised him.
I haven't seen anything yet on Hoelseth's or Isaksen's blogs but it is perhaps too soon and maybe they will write something after the funeral has taken place. I hope so.
Just a few days before his death Ari had been attending an exibition with his works of art!
Despite his moodswings (which often led to more inspiration for new ideas/works of art!) he didn't come across as being exceptionally depressed, according to friends and people who met him.
According to another paper Ary was on the guestlist to attend the traditional Christmas Service at the Holmenkollen Chapel, with the Royal Family.
His former wife and their 3 daughters would also be there, as were the King & Queen.
The CP Family attended another Service near their winter retreat in Uvdalen.
