The picture was taken in 1999 at Musée du Luxembourg in Paris. 17 new tapestries were on display there before they were taken to Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen where they now decorate the great hall. The tapestries, designed by Bjørn Nørgaard, depict the Danish history and also show members of the present royal family. They were commissioned for the Queen’s 50th birthday but were not finished until her 60th birthday.
