It's my impression that Christian X had a good relationship with his other brother-in-law, the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg - and the Grand Duchess was of course his own first cousin (her mother was Thyra of Cumberland, née Princess of Denmark).
In November 1918, when the Grand Duke was forced to abdicate, he and his family were welcomed in Denmark by the King and Queen, who let them live at their own home, Sorgenfri Palace, for the next ten months, until they could return to Mecklenburg. This was in stark contrast to the King's rejection of the German Crown Prince, who was denied exile in Denmark.
One of the times Christian and Wilhelm met in the interwar years was in 1929, when the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg celebrated their silverwedding at Ludwigslust Castle. This nice photo was taken on that occasion.
