Queen Maria I of Portugal (1734-1816) married her father's brother Pedro III (1717-1786). If their son and heir Infante José (1761-1888) had fathered a family with his wife & aunt Benedicta (1746-1829, full sister of Queen Maria), there could have been a 19th-century Portuguese monarch with quite the twisted and generationally-overlapping ancestry. However, José & Benedicta's eleven-year marriage remained childless.
