If im correct Queen Louise left the Orange-Nassau Pearl Poire tiara with the necklace, earrings and brooch/stomacher to the collection. I believe Queen Ingrid added the diamond tiara that she was given. Did Queen Alexandrine leave any of her pieces to the collection or did everything go directly to either her sons or one of her granddaughters?
I know several pieces belong to the crown collection but im not sure what other pieces belong to the family foundation.
Is it known if Queen Margrethe has added to the collection or if she is planning to leave pieces to the collection?
What about her sister Princess Benedikte. She and her daughters still use her pieces when attending Royal events but her son is without offspring and it's becoming more and more likely the the Berleburg dynasty will be continued by another branch of the family. Her grandchildren have no need for large jewels so i could see an option for Benedikte to leave or give to the foundation most of her large jewels with a clause giving her daughters access to them when needed.
The buyer has not made himself/herself known yet.
Yes, it's sad to see such significant heirlooms leave the family but I suppose if this tiara was just going to sit in a box at the bank &
never be used it is understandable that they decided to sell.
Queen Alexandrine chose to divide her private jewels between her sons and not leave them to the family Foundation which would have ensured their future use by the DRF.
"Is it known who the buyer(s) is? It is a shame to see family pieces go. The tiara would've made a wonderful birthday present for either Princess Josephine or big sister Isabella.
