The Queen's 'transportation'
I know this going a bit on a tangent but you mentioned the queen drives from one palace to another. Moreover, does QMII have any equestrian tendencies, ride horses, as her sister, P. Benedikte, and her British colleague, QEII? Also, I've seen video of Prince Henrik riding (alone) a horse and both of Queen Margrethe's children, CP Frederik and P. Joachim.
In addition, are the royal stables located at Amalienborg or Rosenborg?
Judging by the photos, the palaces seem to be linked in pairs, separated by the arch and the street.
I suppose if the Queen wants to visit Pss Benedikte or vice-versa, they won't need to cross the square by foot and it would be ridiculous to go by car.
Or is it known if there is an underground passage linking the 4 palaces ?
If you look at this photo, you'll see that only two of the mansions are connected: The Queen's mansion (bottom right) and the mansion used for banquets and official guests. Benedikte lives in the top left mansion. And yes, the Queen sometimes drives by car from one mansion to another
I don't think there are any underground connections between the mansions. However, during the German occupation of Denmark in World War II a secrect tunnel was dug between the King's mansion (where Benedikte now has her flat) and a house on the other side of the street (behind the guest mansion). It was never used and doesn't exist anymore.
