The Queen's first car had the civil number plate KA 20 121 (see photo) - and ever since then she has used the three last digits. Same for Prince Henrik - he once had a car in France where the number plate ended with 101. Frederik IX chose number 461 for his crown cars because this was the number he received as a young semi-official member of the crew on the royal yacht (numbers for the normal crew ended with 460). Queen Ingrid's cars had the number 411, and Princess Benedikte's 415. Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim also have a couple of private numbers. Even Count Ingolf of Rosenborg has his own royal number plate 24. His sister Princess Elisabeth had number 25 (inherited from Queen Alexandrine), and their brother Christian of Rosenborg numbers 28 and 29.
