Mirene, I had a lumpectomy and radiation and a second bc scare 6 months later. I can't tell you how many people, including bc survivors told me that I was so lucky, including a bc support group leader, because I didn't have a mastectomy or chemo. I so did not feel lucky and I make sure I never say that to anyone. The fact is that for anyone who has cancer there is no lucky involved in it. I think people tell us this so they feel better and often because they don't know what else to say. I was lucky because I had a husband who was compassionate and caring and willing to listen. I actually found myself responding to people by saying that I did not feel lucky.
I am glad you have found us. I think you are a good addition to this site.
You might want to try posting on The Meeting room page. There is often more activity there.
Take care.
