I am less than a week away from my expander/implant swap and a lift on the other side.
I need some advise....I fostered dogs for a rescue for years prior to my diagnosis. I loved it and worked hard at it and found it very rewarding. You simply take the dog into your home unitl the resuce finds and approves and addopter. Since the BC I stopped because I was on overload and did not feel I could contine. With the swap just around the corner I have been asked if I could take a small (15lb) mamma about to have babies. Probably no more than 3-4 babies. My heart is saying YES YES YES!!! The Mom does most of the work the first few weeks. I just an not sure how I will feel. Most people tell me the swap and lift are not very painful and some can return to work in a week or two. I am off a full month. I know everyone I know will tell me I am insane for even considering it but It does so much to raise my spirits. My Mom just passed on Oct 12th so I am still dealing with that. My question is for those who have gotten to this stage do you think I will be too sore to look after the Mom and pups. they will be contained in my laundry room and I have two other dogs to take care of besides them. Go ahead people let me have it...I know I am insane!!
