GRRRR! I have an expander in my right side and I feel the same. I call it my baseball boob. My PS states it is normal. He said the placement and how the expnader expands can make it more uncomfortable sometimes. He also said he is going to cut my scar out to give me a better one. I like him very much as a person but I just keep wondering as a DR...?? I am scheduled to have it switched out and a lift onthis month and I can' the 27th of t wait. I have way to much to deal with right now and cant bare the thought of trying to find another surgeon...so I am sticking with him. I know there are many others that do not experience as much pain with expanders but this for me was very uncomfortable so I know what you mean. I did not ask for pain meds but I had some Vallium left from the surgery. I took that at bed time and it helped me sleep....Now I am taking aleve and the new Nyquil sleep meds. It helps but there is not a second in the day that I am not sooooooo aware that I have a baseball boob!!! if you feel you need pain meds push for them!! I also talk to my General surgeon. I feel like she has my back....
