DIEP and Tram Flap questionsnd

I am looking for people that have had these tow surgeries to give me information about the surgery and their recovery. I have heard things about the Tram Flap, but talking to my breast surgeon she said that this surgery has changed where they try not to take as much core muscle. This allows for better strength in the core then previously. The DEIP is what he surgeon prefers to preform instead of a tram flap but they can't tell till they are in if it can be preformed I hear. I heard this one has less complications less recovery time (if I remember correctly) and no muscle is removed. I am very nervous about surgery and was thinking of just expander and implants but I also heard that with radiation that doesn't always have a good looking outcome. I am just so confused. I meet with the plastic surgeon on Wednesday. I am having my bilateral next month. Then radiation for six weeks. Looking at Nov. for recon surgery. Please let me know your experiences.
