The USA rule book says that in the event the game does not complete, but does go the necessary 5 innings, it counts. In the past, sometimes games were continued at the point it stopped. But the National implemented a rule that says the only time a game is continued is when its National Championship play. Our league rules doesnt really mention this scenario. So, when it happens to g at there is not a league specific rule, it reverts back to the USA Softball Rulebook.

Heels has his 13 commandments that are league specific rules. You guys know them. No stealing, 1 HR per inning and all the other goofy rules that only apply to our league.

So, frustrating as it is to Crumb City. The game ends when the umpire called the game because if rain and unsafe conditions. Teams hate to lose like that. They hate to win like that as well. But it is a book rule.

Its a shame 2 good teams had to have their series decided like this. The only thing thst can be done is for somebody to bring this up at the league managers meeting and see if there is enough support to warrent changing this specifically for our league. Thanks, Steve.
