Shaeff-Myers, classy team as usual. Great game. Jim Aversa with winning hit (he was 6 for 6 on the night with at least 5 RBIs). Kevin "Hit Machine" McCarthy had his usual 4-4 game for Shaeff and even hit opposite field (to RC). Our team had about 7 guys standing in various parts of RF and he still hits a missile for a hit. Vinny Catagnus hit a line drive Home Run to dead Center that was still going up when it ripped through the foliage in the trees. Pitcher Mikey Angelo and the new young kids (Harry Falco as SS) and Chris Shuler at 3B) are making a big difference for this team. Jeff Moreland made about 5-6 of his insane stops at 3B. Chipper Polkowski and Steve Kalbach actually made an out or two. Very rare this season. Everybody is playing great. Frank Kenny's son Noah provided the dugout with his own comedy routine. We had to force people to go in the field and not EH.

JDM always tough, JC is great pitcher, but got a streak of wildness I never seen before. Walked about 10 guys, then took off mask and didn't walk anybody. Game would have been much closer. But they will be there at the end of the season. They have guys who absolutely crush the ball. Worm got the hit that gave us the run rule.

Wish JDM and Shaeff the best the rest of the year, the games were a treat for the umpires as not an ill word was spoken (at least audible words??).

Both Umpires we had were good. Chris Carter and Butch Fisher. There were the usual snickering about close calls and pitch heights, but that's going to happen until the end of time as long as the human element is there to make a judgement call. We have to remember, these umpires won't ever say they are right or wrong, they say they called it as they say it and nobody can argue with that.

One of these days, Noah Kenny can invent a robotic umpire that creates instant replays inside its computer brain and then makes the call. But I guarantee you that somebody will still complain that its using illegal software that wasn't tested by Heels first.
