I still like to get the original leg and thigh meal every once in a while. They used to have green beans, which I loved, but I guess it wasn't popular enough. Seems to me, in my memory bank, back in the 60s there was also a Col. Sanders that had barbequed ham sandwiches. I need to check that out. I found this, but I do remember going to a hamburger joint type of place that was his and ordering barbequed ham served on a bun.
"Yes, Colonel Sanders served barbecued ham at his original restaurant, Sanders' Café, which opened in 1930. He was known for cooking country ham and steak dinners, which were popular among customers. However, there is no specific mention of barbecued ham in the context of the 60s or beyond in the available sources." Maybe it was a trial run that didn't take.
1853 Santa Ana became dictator of Mexico
A dictator! Huh! I wonder if he was a good one or a bad one. So many things in SoCal are named Santa Ana. I need to read more history.
