I saw him with Lesley Ann Warren performing Gigi live on stage back in about 1970.








1913 Jesse Owens – US athlete and gold medal winner at the Berlin Olympics where he was snubbed by Hitler because he was black

I think I say this every year but he was born about a mile from where I live.







1995 Jeremy Brett, age 61 – British stage and screen actor

A sad day for mysteries and all the rest of the acting world. He was the perfect Holmes. All of the Holmes stories he did were perfect except for Hound of the Baskervilles. They took too many liberties with the story for my taste. Then again, I think all movies have messed that, one up.
