He did have a very distinctive voice. I don't know if I'd want to be known as "The Voice of Doom", however.

1936 President Roosevelt dedicated the Boulder Dam (now the Hoover Dam) by pressing a key in Washington to signal the start-up of the dam's first hydroelectric generator in Nevada

First hubs and I went on a tour down into the depths of the dam and it was very impressive. Those generators are massive. Since 9/11 (today's the day) all access to the dams were cut off and I wonder if they've opened up again.

2001 Terrorists hijacked two airliners and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York, causing the 110-story twin towers to collapse. Another hijacked airliner hit the Pentagon and a fourth crashed in a field in Pennsylvania

Since watching all that day and for weeks after, I can't look at pictures or videos of the towers with the billowing smoke. I just can't.
