1905 Friz Freleng - US movie animator who produced and directed many of the classic Warner Brothers cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Tweety and Sylvester and the gang. He also worked on many Dr. Seuss cartoons

Thank goodness for him. I love all of those cartoons.







1911 Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, the “Mona Lisa – La Gioconda” was stolen from the Louvre in Paris. In perhaps the most brazen art theft of all time, Vincenzo Peruggia walked into the Louvre, headed straight for the enigmatic Mona Lisa, removed it from the wall, hid it beneath his clothes, and escaped...

Peruggia served seven months of a one-year sentence and later served in the Italian army during the First World War. The Mona Lisa was eventually returned to the Louvre.

7 Months? Seems kind of a light sentence for such a large theft.
