Back in the 80s I read a story from People Mag about Lloyd Nolan having a son with autism. I'd never heard of it before and I'll bet a lot of people hadn't either until reading that article.

At the time, my husband was working in L.A. I was a stay-at-home-mom and was very worried about him going to and from work. Those were scary times. Riots were few and far between. The Watts riots were the first I'd ever heard of.
