Erle Stanley Gardner sure did leave a good legacy. Just recently I heard "Perry Mason moment" uttered by someone for something.

1790 Thomas Saint, of London, patented the first sewing machine, but there is no record of it ever being produced
I learned to sew starting from grade school, when my mom taught me simple things. Then I took sewing classes in junior high and high school and used my sewing abilities until just a few years ago. Having four daughters I made a lot of things for them including costumes, prom and bridesmaid's dresses. I made a halter dress for myself in the early 70s and ran across it just recently. I showed the picture to my beautician, and she wanted to try it on. I showed the picture to Amy, and she wants her stepdaughter to try it on too. It's really cute. So, Thank you Thomas Saint.
