My internet has been down since Saturday. I was having trouble with it starting Wednesday evening. In the evenings I watch different channels on ROKU and between 9:30 and 10:00 PM the internet would shut down. I'd just go to bed and was able to restart the internet the next morning. Then on Saturday morning I couldn't and kept trying all day and Sunday too. I finally contacted my provider, and they showed no outage, so I made an appointment for today so a repairman could come out and see if it was the modem or my computer or what. Then yesterday I got a text that an outage had been detected in my area, and they were working on it. Finally, this morning it was up and running. I just needed to restart my computer and here I am.

It has been so frustrating. Everything is geared toward internet connections now-a-days. My TV viewing, paying bills on-line, e-mails, etc. My cell phone was okay so I would have resorted to paying bills with it, but I don't like to do that. I prefer my PC or writing checks, which I still have and use for handymen and other things like that. I had a way out, but I don't like change, so it's been frustrating. My mornings are spent on-line. A habit I haven't been able to break since my days working. Progress can be infuriating.
