My mom was probably happy about that. She had a huge, sweet tooth always baking cookies and cakes. We always had ice milk (cheaper than ice cream) in the little freezer in our fridge, cookies to snack on and everyone got a home baked birthday cake. I remember her standing on the screened in back porch to whip fudge to cool it off before pouring it into a pan. Man was that fudge good.
