In book club we read one of her books and I wasn't impressed at all. It is the only one I've read of hers. I found it on the boring side.

1952 Canadian actor Raymond Burr made his TV acting debut on the Gruen Guild Playhouse in an episode titled, The Tiger. He would go on to star in the Perry Mason and Ironside series
The first time I remember seeing him was in the movie Rear Window. I was surprised when I saw him in the first Perry Mason episode. He was so thin, and his hair was dark. I've read where the producers or director or someone had him lose weight for the part. He eventually put it all back on as I understand he was a gourmet cook and loved what he cooked.
