When my husband was working in Germany, we took a day trip to see Dachau Concentration Camp and it is so surreal walking through it to see where all the horrors took place. The ovens were still there. The barracks were gone, but still visible where they stood. I still have vivid pictures in my mind. The atmosphere was very still and there wasn't a lot of talking among the tourists.
