I watched it so long ago now, I'm trying to remember what season you're in. Probably season 1 or 2? It does get quite dark, and goes to some disturbing places. When I watched it, it was on once a week, and you had to wait for each new season, so it wasn't as overwhelming as binging it would be. It took four years to watch that way. I thoroughly understand needing to take a break from it. I found the spy plot part of it interesting and convoluted enough to put up with all the rest of it.
