I'm nor sure if they still can, or not. But I do remember going on a high school trip to Quebec and a bunch of us went into a men's only pub (not on purpose, we just didn't know, and no one checked our ID to see that we were underage). They tried to kick us girls out, but we pretended not to understand. I think I had a coke and we stayed probably half an hour or so.
