1840 Thomas Hardy – British novelist and poet (Far From the Madding Crowd, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Jude the Obscure)
Took me forever to c & p the above. only read tess and it was so depressing.
1952, she began to perform routine duties of the sovereign, and in June, 1953, her coronation was held at Westminster Abbey.
Doesn't seem right that she is no longer with us.
