We are ok! We had about 10 or 12 inches which is more than we have had in 20 yrs here. The good thing was, no ice and the snow was light and feathery and not heavy. They kept saying we were going to get clobbered, but I didn't believe it. They have cried wolf so many times and nothing. They even had the time it was going to start. They said midnight and it started at exactly midnight here. It was a steady snow that just kept piling up. It snowed all day Sunday and most of Monday. Yesterday we actually had a snow squall warning. That has never happened. Our phones kept going off and we heard a woman talking saying about the warning. Didn't even know it was happening until we looked outside. It was blowing and snowing so hard where you couldn't see anything for about 10 min. Then it was gone. Now all we have is COLD. Wind chills are -20 below. Schools have been cancelled since Monday because of the cold. It's been pretty brutal. Buddy hasn't been out much because his little lungs can't handle it. I have an outside cat I have been feeding for about a year and he's finally tame. We have him in the barn. He usually comes and goes from the barn, but we have kept him inside since it's been snowing so much and so cold. He seems to like being in there and uses a litter box. I go out to feed him and spend time with him and he is content. So, we are all doing fine right now. Tuesday, we went out to eat, and we just got home in time before the snow squall happened. The Lord took care of us! We have heat and electric, so we are thankful for that too. It's been a bad winter so far. A few nights ago, we had 4 bucks in our back yard eating acorns. No does, just bucks. They all had horns. Tom said that was really a rare sight. Then the next night 3 does came, no bucks. Last night we had 4 huge deer so they are really trying to find food where they can. Then they crossed into our front yard. Poor things!!! Well, it's been a while since I've posted so I had a lot to tell everyone. Luckily, I got my license renewed last week before everything hit so I didn't have to worry about getting that renewed. Can't believe I will be 72 on Feb 4th. I still feel young so it's just a number, I guess. My health has been good, so I have a lot to be thankful for. Tom is still doing good and no re-occurrence of his cancer. Take care everyone and hopefully Spring will get here soon. Can't wait till NASCAR starts up again. Hope the new format is better than what we had. We shall see. I always think about Pam O'Toole around this time of year. We would start our seeds for Spring around Daytona time. I miss talking with her. ANd Beth. I miss her too. We
