What do you all think?
Race points change slightly with the winning driver now earning 55 points. Previously, a race winner earned 40 points.
A race win no longer grants automatic entry into The Chase.
Win and you're in' is no more.
The elimination-based postseason format is no more.
The Chase is a straight IO-race format.
The top-16 drivers in regular-season points make The Chase.
With the points leader at the end of the regular season earning a 25-point advantage over second, the seedings to start The Chase

I hate to say it, but I have not watched racing for years now. Basically, since they changed the format, I think. I have watched maybe a total of 100 laps in 5 or 6 years now. I am also very busy as I am a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. This takes all the time I have for doing anything. Heck, I have even left all social media years ago as I spent too much time on it. Up until I retired 6 months ago I watched maybe 1 hour of tv a day. Now it is more in the morning, especially with the cold and snowy weather we have been having in Iowa. And those are all old westerns. Dang I am getting old. LOL Take care everyone.

You're just a youngun Larry. I have been retired going on 18 years and love every minute of it. I am really tired of the politics in Racing now, and I didn't watch several races last year because of it.
Hope You enjoy Your retirement, and glad to hear You are working with the kids in Scouts.

Interesting concepts for 2026, maybe they will work out. It has been so complicated over the years and quite frankly haven't been, pardon the pun "up to speed" on the who, what, when , where and whys. I just want to see good, honest racing!!! and for 2026 Gooooooooooooo Joey and Penske Racin!!!

I don’t keep up as I should. As bad as I had to admit it, I watch the Kevin Harvick show. And just from what I’ve picked up on that this year or this past year is Kevin was not at all happy with the way out last year at the point system, I’m not sure which but I just hope he’s “Happy” with it! 😁
And when NASCAR makes a ridiculous call I I know it!
Of course Pap’s not gonna let us miss anything Hendrick does like that so I’m ready for the race to start.
Go Ryan Blaney, Penske Racing and new this year, the Kid, Conner Zilich! That boy can handle a car like Jeff Gordon or Darrell Waltrip.

I heard Dale Jr and Harvick both say that the big lawsuit was going to bring a lot to light on NASCAR and change might be good. You know Childress will.

Some of it I like, but the part about win and Your in not being in there is in MHO to keep guys like SVG out of the playoffs. In other words, there is no incentive to win, except for the points awarded. Some drivers would rather not take a chance and wreck to win to get in, and will rather ride in the top 10 each week. Makes sense to me.

Remember, the chase was made because Kenseth won the championship as he should have, but didn't have a win. that is why they put in the "Win You're in rule.

Drop the chase and make the champion, the one with the most points and do away with the stage point crap. Get back to racing and the consistentcy of a driver for a year.

If You are not going to get in for winning, then the leader should not get an advantage with 25 points to start the playoffs. The leader should be the champ and forget the playoffs. Extend the season to 46 races and see who wins it.

It all goes to one thing, the Teams with the deepest pockets will win.
