same thing happened to me Alf. I drank the stuff and then proceeded to throw up! I said I'd never do another one again unless I started having problems. The last one had was in 2015. The colonoscopy was a piece of cake it's that prep that gets you!! I had to have one back then because I was having problems with my esophagus. I couldn't eat things w/o them sticking in my throat and I'd have to throw whatever was in my throat up in order to get relief. So, they did the colonoscopy and then they dilated my esophagus which took care of the problem.

Early in September I started having having an issue. Already had an appointment with Primary Care so I then was telling her about what has been going on. She started me on an orange powder(Prevalite)to mix with water or orange juice. OJ much better. Gave me enough for 10 days. Couple days after the 10 days were up it all it started again. I called and was given 5 more days of meds and was told to make an appointment with a Gastro doctor. I made the call and was given an appointment for November. My husband got on the phone the next day and got me one the next day. This doctor couldn't understand why they didn't give me more of the meds. He then gave me a 30 day supply with 3 refills. But had to stop that when preparing for the colonoscopy. Heck they could've done one when I was having the issue and not had to drink that crap. Doctor told my husband everything looks good(one polyp) which he said was meaningless. Did a couple samples for a biopsy. After that it's just wait till he comes up with a cause. Think he might be thinking colitis. Time will tell.

Here's a funny the day of the procedure. I was taken from the waiting room to a cubicle. Got changed and IV was put in. I'm laying there and hear my husband say something(curtain was closed) so he didn't see me but I heard and saw his shoes. He has worn Desert Boots for many years and I saw them as he passed. Apparently a nurse came to waiting room and said Thomas. He gets up and she brings him back to a room. Opens the curtain and then says to her this isn't my wife. He thought she thought he was kidding. Was an all white haired woman. That's when I saw him walk past my section. Now why say Thomas. Apparently the other Thomas wasn't in the waiting room then. Why not last names. The rest of this mess wasn't funny but this was

I hate You had to go trough all that mess, but that story has me ROTF. I can imagine Tom was wondering what in the heck is going on.

week has been. On Monday, my birthday I had a nuclear stress test at 7 am. Then a echocardiogram at @ 2:50. This was for clearance for a colonoscopy yesterday. Preparing for one is the worst thing in the world. It was not pretty. 64 ounces of lemon gatorade with the Miralax powder. I am not a gatorade person. Never ever drank it before. To make it worse I then threw up after several doses. Only good thing about throwing it up I figure it wasn't going to be coming out somewhere else. The procedure itself was a piece of cake. Didn't even know I had been asleep till the doctor was talking to me. There's more but too gruesome to get into.

Thanks for the Birthday Wishes. One to remember that's for sure
