intranet back up and running...Check on it's way

Sorry, my intranet was down, and we just got it back. I sent a check for the board a couple of days ago to MK so she should be getting it soon. You sure don't know how much you miss it until it's gone.
We'd been having trouble with our cable and intranet for a little while and yesterday our cable just went zip, and we were out of luck until this morning. I sleep with my tv on. I have to have noise. So last night I just had the radio. Better than nothing I guess but not the same. We watched a couple of DVD movies until 11:00 and then I went to bed. I read and slept off and on to the radio. The cable guy came and said downstairs our connection had come loose and he fixed that and then.... we were up and running again. How it came loose we don't know. one of those weird things, I guess. He thought maybe the wind or freezing temps just jarred things loose. We live in an old farmhouse from 1890 so it's hard to say what happened. But sure am glad we're back in business.

I know MK will appreciate your check for the board. Glad your internet is back up. Could very well be little critters seeking warmth from the winter or who knows. Mine has been freezing screen on and off now for weeks and not sure why. Have checked connections inside and all secure. Sometimes I think it's all these satellite and cable update changes trying to force us to buy bigger plans. I know my line up is nothing like it used to be yet the costs have gone up over 200% in past years. It's my only entertainment but one day I must find another way to get cheaper service.

I agree with all that Beth! We're not big spenders on anything but cable and intranet. We don't do much of anything else outside of our home and we're ok with that, but we are stuck with paying the price that keeps going up ad up for just cable and intranet. Cost of living has gone up dramatically for just the simplest of living. We're all doing the best we can to keep up and I believe we are being taken advantage of but we can't do a thing about it !
