I made sauerkraut, smoked sausage, boneless pork chops, and potatoes and dumplings in the crock pot. Been eating on it all day

No family party for us this year d/t the virus but that's ok. Better safe than sorry. Hope everyone is staying safe if you're partying. Don't want to lose any of my Jr buddies !
I read on google where Dale Jr was cleaning out his attic and he saw a black trash bag. Without looking inside, he threw it in the dumpster. Someone decided to open it and go through the bag and inside was Dale Sr's old fire suit.
He was so glad someone decided to look inside before it went to the dump. I believe it was from early on is Sr's career. It was blue and yellow ( maybe LEVI sponcer ??? 70 or early 80's ) Glad someone looked inside that bag !!

Sounds good. We are having Cabbage, black eyed peas and a boneless pork loin cooked on the grill.

As far as the suit that was found, I would bet it was one of his first and my guess would be when he drove the wrangler car. Mk and Beth may have an idea but that would be my guess.

I think you may be right. I was thinking Levi but I believe it probably is Wrangler now that you mention it .
Did Jr drive for Levi when he was starting out, before he went to Cup??

Well I made it into 2021 and here we are starting a new year together once again. Stayed home and took several naps waiting for midnight...LOL Lots of fireworks going off but it was raining so they sounded like bombs with so much cloud cover. Made me wake up and jump out of my skin a few times.

Gale, your meal sounds great. I didn't have my stuff to cook but had some field peas that look like blackeye's and had a bowl of them. Nothing special.

I'm so glad someone looked in the black plastic bag Jr was throwing out and realized what a treasure it was for Jr and saved it. A lesson learned I'm sure. He didn't get much of anything of his dad's but a lot of fans who had bought DE stuff has sent it to Jr for his memories and his collection continues to grow.

If I could I'd send some of my food to you, LOL !! I was up way after midnight watching the ball drop and heard Sinatra sign" New York, New York" It was sad seeing hardly anyone there in Time's square

I shed a few tears for this past year ( New Year's always makes me cry) but I'm past it now. On to hopefully a better year for us all. Since I Live in the country there was a lot of guns being shot off to signal the new year. My dad used to shoot my grandpa's WW1 shot gun every year. Tom tried it once and it almost knocked it to the ground. LOL !! Another memory
