Newman cleared to return and both he and Matt waivers for Championship run

Good news. Ryan Newman has been cleared by his doctors and NASCAR to return to racing once they can go back. Both Newman and Kenseth have gotten waivers for them both to be eligible to run for the 2020 Championship. Like they did for Kyle B. so can see it for Newman. As for waiver for Matt not sure I agree since he was not racing at the start of the season. I'm sure it really doesn't matter as this season is screwed in so many ways with the closures. NC finally approved mechanics and shop workers to get changed to "essential workers" since mechanic shops are open. Now they are returning to the shops to build cars and engines, with all safety protocols in place. It's a start! PLUS, they are saying if things don't get any worse in NC the Charlotte 600 might be able to run without any fans. we shall see!

Beth, go to Jayski and they have races starting on the 17th of May at Darlington and then every Wed and Sunday thru 6/14 with Miami. Don't know if some are for the second races or if they are the Xfinity. Check it and see what You think

Ones not sure about are 5/20 Darlington 310 and 5/27 Charlotte 310.

I've seen the brutal schedule and looks like they can be running 2-3 races a week. Not all tracks will be made up but races at other tracks. Very confusing. Both Xfinity, Truck and Cup trying to make up races, schedule is crazy. No fans and just won't be the same. No qualifying or practice allowed. Geez, looks like NASCAR is being forced by these Governors and States to stay locked down for he year?
