I would say that the TV Station that was airing the Iracing that had him mic'ed up are the ones who went after NASCAR and Ganassi to take action but I could be wrong. It really makes me mad as I have to sit in traffic and hear boom boxes with loud rap music and the N word is used inn every other word in songs, by the passengers in the car as well as every other "bleeped" out words not allowed on TV. It's double standards and politically correct everything these days. No, I do not use the word because my generation and my kids know it offends people, that was how I was raised. times have changed. Larson wasn't brought up in the 60's, he listens to music and plays games, watches movies where it's just another word thrown around not meaning anything against anyone for racial reasons. |
I would say that they were going to be fined by the FCC if they didn't take immediate action? Again, I could be wrong.
I hate it for Larson and it's obvious he was not using it in a racial slur way. He apologized for it but sponsors had to throw in their two cents and the domino effect struck. I have not and will not watch anymore Iracing again. They used it for TV ratings while the season was on hold. The drivers are in their homes playing a video game. Once they wanted to air it then it was no longer a game but TV ratings and money producing for NASCAR I assume. Sponsors were getting on board and getting exposure. It really saddens me to see how quickly 1 word not meant to harm anyone has ruined a nice persons career. Bubba should have spoken U)P right away in his defense as I'm sure he uses it as all his generation does in daily conversation. Anyhow, I'm disappointed in how we have double standards in this world today.
My "2016" saying is:
