I started praying for Ryan immediately and continue to do so. That was a horrific crash and after seeing the slo-mo video and the hit he took in the drivers door by Lajoie at 200 MPH was frightening to see. I was so afraid we were not going to get good news about Ryan with what we saw and that nothing was being said about him when removed from the car. Lots of posts on FB from people who had someone at the race, in the garage and etc. One that did concern me was that someone reported they were giving him CPR once they had him on the stretcher going to the ambulance and then the screens were put up immediately. That was a bad sign for me but I prayed hard for the best. It was no ones fault, they were all going for the win. A chain reaction by good drivers going for it. Sure we can say blocking, pushing, caused it but that's what they do and Daytona allows this aggressive driving. |
God and some NASCAR Angels were with Ryan and he was circled by prayers. I just hope and pray his injuries are not career ending and he has a speedy and complete recovery. His daughters were there at the track with him and I was so concerned for them knowing they had to be watching the race and pulling for their daddy. His eldest daughter is his biggest fan. Unfortunately, he announced last week that he and his wife of 16 years had mutually separated and asked for privacy. I'm sure this is really hard on both of them now that he's seriously injured. Someone who was following her on twitter said she posted "OMG" about 50 min. after the accident so she wasn't at the track but the girls were. Keep them all in your prayers.
My "2016" saying is:
"All racers, mess a lot with Lagano" What goes around comes around". Lagano
**Praying daily for all my Posse family here**
Goooooooooo Teams Elliott, Byron, Blaney, Larson, JJ

I sat there and remembered others like Dale Sr, J.D. McDuffie that they never went back to the wrecked car, and would not say anything on the air about it. Usually You will get a report that the driver is alert and moving around, but nothing like that last night. |
I know the Doctors said that the injuries were not Life threatening, and with no updates, it tells me that there is serious other problems that could be career ending.
As far as noones fault!!! It is NASCARS!!!! Maybe it is time for them to get their heads out of their asses and do what Indy car has done, and make it a big violation to BLOCK ANOTHER DRIVER.
Anyone that has watched racing knows most BIG ONES are caused by blocking.
Will keep praying for Ryan and the family in hopes for a full recovery as he has always been one of my Favorite people in Nascar

You're right Lang. I have watched Nascar many years and when they don't go back to the wreck, that usually is not good. I have always been a huge Flyin Ryan fan, and will keep the flame lit for him. |
